For our Christmas Service next week the children at St Edmund’s will be singing some different Christmas songs. Year 5 will be singing ‘Little Drummer Boy.’ The version that we will be singing is attached below, so that the children can practice at home.

I will be sending home this evening copies of the lyrics of the song to help the children learning it. This will be accompanied by their new homework books, which were given to the children last week. This week they are to complete Section 1 Test 2 in Maths and the 2nd reading text.

Please ensure all homework books are returned on Monday morning, even if your child does not manage to complete their homework.

We have had a fantastic week in Emerald this week, with it being our DT and Assessment week. The children’s focus was on mechanisms, looking at different pop-up books and how they are made. This has culminated in the children producing their own pop-up books, using different mechanisms in their books.

The children also had the opportunity to visit Santa and take part in the PTA Christmas Fun morning. It was great to see so many at the Christmas Fair on Friday evening as well.

This was all in addition to out usual weekly activities, including PE with Mr Lopez, playing xylophones in music and biking with Ollie on Thursday afternoon.
